A mobile phone promotion to text in a number on the inside of a crisp pack to win a variety of prizes including a Sony Playstation and mobile phones. Axos were asked to set up a web based alternative for users to enter the competition. The internet response was huge with traffic peaking at 200,000+ visitors per day and 5 million plus visitors over the life of the campaign. |
| In a highly technical collaboration with the company handling the mobile phone campaign, Axos had to create a system to pass the entry code to the their mobile phone server where the code was checked against database lists of winning codes. The result was passed back to the web site and interpreted, informing the entrant whether they had won or lost. This had to be done without a time lag and to include checks against fraud and to prevent duplicated entries. Every entry lwas ogged by time, date and entrants name. |
| In what was probably the first of its kind the web campaign was a major success and the site ran for several months with no down time. |
